This is a wild feeling, like a syncronicity for a time I never had, but could have. Now, everything is feeling right. Another piece in the puzzle.

The Long Undeath

Where Gods Go To Die.

The Afterside, The Death Without Death, The Limbo of the Gods. When a god is slain, when a properly 10 or 11 Dimensional creature is destroyed, it is sent to this realm. It is a prison, it is a sanctuary. It is home of lost divinities and forgotten Law, and the appearance of the realm is as such.

Gods of Old Times Since Passed, Kings of Prehistory destroyed with great cosmic cataclysms are among those Divine Graves. Their divinity imprecise, as was the graduality of the evolutions they governed. Some survive their death, sleeping and being reawoken as Memoric Gods of What Once Was, becoming embodiments and surviving the call of the After as something new. Shepherds into Fathers, Creatures into Fossils, Ashes to Dust.

Gods of Worlds that have met their end, Souls of Species no longer extant, Scha'plako of Universes gone cold eternal, Hollowed Corpses of Living Planets consumed by their own stars. Faceless memories of lives and experiences and vast nodes of infinities. Gods slain in Omnicides of that which they are.

Friend gods of those whose souls have dissolved into nothing, who shall never exist again. Gods of Places now Uninhabitable, who were the life of a now irradiated and salted ashplane where lush forests and sprawling civilization grew. Gods born and dead within a mere century.

The Afterside is a realm of Finality. It takes a great deal for one to reemerge in the waking world, but it happens often enough that there may always be those in attendance of Lady Caelevulm, All-Mother. Rare are the times when new creation allows for the eternally sleeping gods to be reformed, to begin again as what they are, and only as what they are, the god of a star can go to no other star, it must be Their Star.

Few are the Lostfinders that dare venture into this realm. The Forgotten Gods are best left in their graves, unobthered until reborn properly. The few who have tried bringing them back from their "death" have learnt the hard way when the Law or Impossibility was so incompatible with what was, that it caused destruction the likes of which untold. Not even the first death of those revived gods compares to the Absolute Pandemonium that they wrought in the new age, desyncronized from all other Law and Possibility.

Please, I implore you. Leave them be. Leave the sleeping gods lie.

Some things are best left forgotten.
